Lincoln Green Party Election Fighting Fund

About Us: We are passionate about the environment and our lovely county Lincolnshire and we run the local branch of the Green Party. We want to get Greens elected in both Lincoln City and in Sleaford and North Hykeham, the two constituencies that we cover. A snap election could be called any time and Sally Horscroft would love to be able to stand as your Green candidate in Lincoln and Simon Tooke would love to stand in Sleaford and North Hykeham.

Why We Need Your Help:

We need your help to do this as we need to find £1000 just to cover the fees of standing a candidate in the first place (£500 per constituency). We do not have the financial backing of big businesses, we fund everything ourselves. Please help us to raise the money needed to get a Green choice on the ballot paper for the people of Lincolnshire. We will use every hustings, media interview and event as an opportunity to raise awareness of Green issues and to raise the profile of the Green Party and our progressive, common sense policies that would benefit people and the environment.

A Word From Our Prospective Parliamentary Candidates:

Sally says:

“I have lived in Lincoln for most of my life and am now semi-rered from the retail and manufacturing sectors. I have acvely campaigned on environmental issues for most of my life too.

The Climate crisis demands urgent internaonal acon and co-operaon but locally, after years of austerity,  we need acon on transport, housing, NHS, homelessness and much more.

With over 3 years of campaign experience as a local Green Party candidate and a passion for helping people and the environment, I would love to represent my city in parliament.”

And a few words from Simon, for Sleaford and North Hykeham:

“I’m Simon, aged 69, married with children and grandchildren. I am a retired fireman, IT consultant and Company Director.

I believe passionately in equality, fairness and democracy. I have a strong desire to make the world a better place for my children and grandchildren – as well as for everyone else.

We must completely rethink growth economics, and the associated environmental costs, by introducing sustainable economic policies. We must stop investment in fossil fuels and focus on renewables, and invest in the country’s infrastructure, locally as well as nationally.”
